“Our family has known Mr. Don Whipple since 2004, when our daughter Mary turned one. He made a connection with her that has grown over the last 6 years. The same connection was made with our son. Duncan was born in December 2005, and Don first photographed him at 8 days old.


Don has been doing Mary and Duncan’s portraits every year since 2004. Needless to say, Don and his great staff have become an integral part of our life. The kids LOVE when we say it’s time to see Mr. Whipple.


He makes all kids feel special and important. He gets them. Don knows the cues that children send him. He knows when they have had it, he changes the pace as needed, and boy can he get “the shot” in record time.


We have had the kids portraits done in studio and on location, and Don performs at the highest level in each situation.


We trust him. We show up, not knowing his vision, and are always surprised, and excited. It has become exciting for me to see how he is going to top himself year after year. Don never disappoints. Ever.


When it is time to see the proofs, we are amazed at how he “gets out kids” on film. He always gets the perfectly innocent, serene, lovely shots. Then he gets them as they truly are, devilish, silly, and a little crazy. We love them all.
